22re dead?

I bought a 93 yota pickup for $500, guy said the head gasket was toast, which I thought wasn't to bad considering the motor has 180k on it. Got the truck home and pulled the head and the head gasket is fine, but I have water in all 4 cylinders and when I checked the water level there seems to be oil in the water, but the truck physically runs great. Should I get my head checked for cracks or should I just write it off as the blocks cracked and start looking into a swap?

Depends how much trust you put into into the seller and what he told you. with the head off the block visually inspect the block as best you can.

If the truck ran alright before taking it apart, than it most likely is the head gasket. If the block looks ok, have the head cleaned and inspected for squareness and cracks. just my 2 cents

I've blown a head gasket 3 times on one of my cars, each time I couldn't tell where it blew. Took it to a machine shop and they pointed it out. If you don't know what your looking for then it is very hard.
