22r Stumbles on Deceleration
Hello all, I have a 88 pickup 2wd with 22r engine and w56 transmission.
My truck runs great when cold, but once getting up to operating temperature it starts giving up on me.
Symptoms:
-When I start moving from a stop, getting into first, the car will stumble and jerk once the clutch bites on to the flywheel.
-Getting into 2nd is also the same as 1st but not as bad, car runs great under a good amount of throttle.
-When I raise the RPM or blip throttle, afterwards when RPM starts to come down again, car will almost die but then go back to idle normally
-Truck will almost always die if I attempt to brake without first getting on the clutch or putting it in neutral.
So basically anytime my rpms go down the car will either stumble, attempt to die, or will die.
None of this happens when its cold, only happens when its at operating temp.
Only started happening recently after doing timing chain job and head gasket replacement and the CARBURETOR was REBUILT 1 year ago and was PURRING like a kitten up UNTIL the timing job and head gasket job.
At first I though maybe the carb got clogged and messy while I was doing the timing job. So I started there:
-Disassembled and cleaned all the jets.
-New AAP
So I mostly ruled out the carb.
What I might think the problem would be:
-Bad or plugged EGR vacuum modulator
-Bad HAI flapper
-Bad Fuel cut solenoid
-Vacuum Leak
Any and All advice is appreciated, this is my first post I'm usually just a stalker roaming the forums, but I'm mostly stumped on this problem right now. So thanks if you read all this lol.
