2 piece to 1 driveline swap advise please.
#22
Are you talking about the carrier bearing or the c.v. joint? The carrier bearing is about $130, The c.v. joint is about $60, and the u-joints are about $25 each for a grand total of $240. the one piece is $80 cheaper, and gets rid of everything in the center. Just have 2 u=joints now on the rear d.s.

Got my driveline back today and put it in. Well after installing new u-joints. Looks real good and I didn't measure it, but I dont think I lost anymore than about 1" of clearance at the carrier bearing mount area. I will take some pictures when I get the chance as I finished the job by flashlight this evening. One concern I have is I think the machinist forgot to balance the d.s. as I do have a bit of a vibration, and there is nothing welded on the d.s. for balance. I will have to call him in the morning and see what he says.
