2" or 3" leaf springs?

Ok so the ass of my 86 is sagging pretty bad. sits a good 2 inches below the front so I'm going to replace the leaf springs with downey ones. My question is I wanna get the 1.5" ball joint spacers which leaf springs would match them better to get a level truck (no rake)? The 2" or 3" I don't want to adjust the front t-bars up too much don't want the ride to get stiffer

Go with the 3 inch. If you had a pick up, I'd say 2 inch but the top is pretty heavy and the springs will settle a little.

I just did this with my '89 Runner.

I put 2" OME Dakar leafs in the back and 1.5" ball joint spacers in the front.

I netted 4.5" of "lift" in the rear, due to the sag, and 2" of lift in the front from the 1.5" spacers. These measurements are from the top of the rim to the wheel well opening, vertical.

I had a bit of a rake to it, so I cranked in 3/8" from the front T-bars to mellow that out.

If you go with 3" springs, you are going to have a hard time leveling the truck, assuming you actually get a full 3" lift from the springs.

I have been driving the truck for two weeks, time will tell if the 2" OME's settle out a bit.
