1ton spring swap

1ton spring swap
i snapped my main leaf in the back passenger side on my 88 yota. so my friend was nice enough to give me his old leafs from his 86 1ton yota. i go to put them in, and the back bushing and bolt size is the same, but on the front of the leaf the bushing is the same size but different bolt size, so i went to the machine shop and got a sleeve made up for inside the bushing. so that worked out pretty good.
has anyone else done that swap?

To get rid of my 4Runner's saggy rear, I picked up a set of springs for a 1-ton. Instead of making the 2wd main leaf fit, I put the two largest leaves from my original pack in its place. This also let me keep the military wrap.
After a while, I removed the shortest overload leaf. It made the ride way too rough for my taste.
I'm happy with the way it turned out. I no longer have a saggy rear (at least not on the truck) and it is a lot nicer not slamming into the bump stops all the time.
