1st Gen Bed on 2nd Gen Pickup?
As the title implies, will a bed from a 1st Gen(81) Pickup bolt up to a 2nd Gen (86) frame?
I've found one locally in really nice shape, it looks like a short box. I've got an 86 XCab short box(73" I think).

It will fit ... somewhat ! 
body lines and "width" wont match .
I believe 6 of the 8 mounts work .. fuel filler is a differant story ..just a little farting there . some wiring is necessary for the lights .
I suggest ..buying .. and reselling ..and saving for the FIBERGLASS BED FUND
or geezzz ... just sell it ..

slacker: always with the plug...believe me, it's on the list of things I want(sadly that list is about 3 miles long, and my wallet cover about 9" of it). Thanks for the info though.
3yotys: if you were close enough for a road trip, I might take you up on it. However 2400 miles is a bit too far for me.
