I hope not, I wanna find a v6 manual one later, and swap in the 3.4 and sas it. I think that would be a killer trail rig

You were close. It's Zora Arkus Duntov who really hammered the engineering of the Corvette to give it the go fast goodies in the 60's.

i think they'll go up in value, but not as much as say an early bronco or muscle car. i think alot of people sort of miss the SUV with a removable top though, and the 4Runner was one of the best. not to mention all new cars look like ASS.

i know i'm keeping mine as long as i can get parts for it!

I agree. I think they will go up in value because of the top and it was the first gen 4Runner. Not FJ40 value though.

personally i hope it stays an affordable sleeper. but any cool ride will go up in value, its just a matter of time. look at the price on just regular old skool vw beetles. the rusted ones get crushed, the decent ones that don't run become parts donors, and the decent ones running get restored or cut up/customized. as the selection becomes more scarce, demand makes the price go up.
