Pictured: Awesome
Rustoleum Flat Black Enamel

I know it's not really for plastic surfaces, but I've used it on all of my interior trim in my Honda, and my girls Honda and hasn't had any chips or fades yet! I used some plastic paint on the trim for the door handles in the 4Runner and it was chipping within a month.

So far it has held up pretty good. My keys hit on the dash a lot and the paint is still holding up!

OutlawMike did a write up on the aftermarket 3-gang switches. That's where I got my idea from for my project.

Does anyone know if any of the 80s Toyota cars use the square switches for anything? You might have better luck looking in the yards.

Check around the market place. Sometimes people part out their trucks and might part with a whole console for cheap. Just gotta keep an eye out.

Oh and helidriver, where did you get your change holder?

Get a tall arm rest from a Corolla or Prism the base/bottom is smaller to go inside center consoles, Here is what one looks like, got pic from eBay add...

My daughter 97 Prism didn't come with one and so I found one at a salvage yard out of a Corolla, Mega storage and I bet the base of one would fit what you have after you take the lid off yours, Just an idea for you and others with center consoles, there is a shorter one like the big one in the pic I found at SY but wasn't tall enough to act as an arm rest for me or my daughter (I had to lean for arm to rest on it) , depending on your size and the height of your console the smaller one might be better than the taller one. Have fun :}

I just went with a custom Padded stock top...... LOVE IT! My arm rests perfectly on there, but I do have the SR5 console w/out Heater, so lots of room in there.........

Still using my 99C store cup holder that is supposed to go over the window sill...... but I put it over the consoles lower lid and resting on the edge of the pass. seat.

Where did you get that one? If it had a key lock on it, it would be a pretty stealthy lock box.

Hey Bass, thanks! Well, the driver seat, in that pic, is Stock/Original. The passenger seat is covered, same cover it had since I bought it from Original owner/Toyota Technician with 100k for 2300$ in 2002. Not sure what kind they are, but they seem to be custom. I had one on the driver side, but had to yank it to repair the seat frame and add padding to the back.(You saw my Scion tC seats install thread, etc, right? OY! lol)

It's been completely covered in mud on the floors, greasy prints all over the door panels... But I've always been lucky to have been able to get all the stains out(not all, just most, lol)>

here's the cupholder, where I use it, easily removable and 99C at the 99C store.>>>>

New seat cover on the driver side, padding under there is GREAT! lol. >>>
