1995 T100 - White steam billowing from exhaust

Vehicle has been sitting for 60 hours tops. Went to start engine, heard a click sound (not sure if related) and noticed what looked like white smoke coming from tailpipe. Took a closer look and it appears to be steam with drops of water falling to ground. Smells like coolant. Also noticed dashboard panel with everything appearing normal. I let the vehicle warm up to see if exhaust would dissipate, after 15 minutes it’s still doing it. Any ideas?

Head gasket? Mine did something similar because liquid can't be compressed, so it was harder on the starter, resulting in a 'click'

Welcome to YotaTech.

"Click," then that was it? Or "click," and it started?

If you have a slow leak from coolant to cylinder, it can hydrolock. It doesn't have to fill the cylinder, as 128keaton says water is incompressible so it only take a few tablespoons. If hydrolocked, the starter CANNOT turn it.

BUT, the water can leak out again around the rings. And you'll be able to start it again! You may get some white smoke (steam), and the water now in the oil will dissipate after some minutes running. But you're still doomed; the leak will only get worse.

I'm 98% sure a new head gasket is in your (probably immediate) future.
