1995 4runner Still surging at 2000 RPMs
I posted a couple weeks ago about my 3vze surging at 2000rpms still need help! I've replaced head gaskets,TPS,all sensors in the back of the intake, timing belt, water pump, plugs and wires, spark plugs. It idles fine but I try to rev it and it surges at 2000 rpms! Then after 10-15 min of idling it over heats. It doesn't show on temp gauge, but boils over in the over flow tank. I'm getting check engine codes 22 ect,24 air temp sensor,32 air flow meter,41 TPS. Anyone? I need help!

For the boiling over- make sure you've got a good rad cap on that holds proper pressure.
Hook a fuel gauge to it and tape it to your window and go for a drive and see if your pressure fluctuates or is low. Last surging motor I dealt with had the fuel pump fail withing a few thousand miles.
If you didn't "burp" the system after your head gaskets you need to do that. You might have a big air pocket giving you that code 24.
Code 41 TPS needs to be tested. You can test the TPS on the truck with some aligator clips. You can, of course, remove the TPS and test it, but you have to adjust it correctly when you put it back on. http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/CheapTricks/TPS/index.shtml has the scoop on the test and proper function.
In fact, just search for your codes, you'll have more reading that you know what to do with. The FSM has a good diagnostic section too.
