1990 Toyota pickup won't turn over

My son has a 1990 Toyota pickup that is having issues. 4 cylinder. He was driving and he lost electronics - wipers, dash lights, turn signals... He pulled into Autozone and they charged his battery. Reinstalled and it worn't turn over. Took it to shop and they said bad ignition switch. Wanted $660 to replace. I bought one and replaced it. No change. Headlights and flashers work. Nothing else. Not even turn signals. Won't turn over. I hear a faint click under hood when he tries to start it. Looked at all fuses and they look good. 80 amp fuse link is good. I used jumper cables from negative post to ground thinking maybe a bad ground. No luck. Voltage on battery is good. I tried jump starting in and still nothing.

I read a post about running wire from positive post to large white wire in fuse block. I did this. Still nothing.
A little more background. My son let a friend use it for awhile. Lost the key and pulled ignition apart and was using screwdriver to start ignition. It was working. My son got truck back. Drove it for a couple days then this happened. Any help would be appreciated a bunch.

Welcome to YotaTech.

Can you see the electrons? No, they're just too darn small! You need to use your multimeter (don't have one? No excuse for that! https://www.harborfreight.com/7-func...ter-63759.html) Since you have headlights, your fusible link should be good, but you've probably blown one of the "big" (30-80amp) fuses. Using your multimeter to measure voltage to ground, check each fuse under the hood. ATC fuses have a pair of metal tabs on top. Voltage on each tab: good. Voltage on one tab: fuse blown. Voltage on neither tab: no voltage to that fuse, keep looking.

Using this diagram http://web.archive.org/web/201204170.../2powersou.pdf , you can narrow down which fuse, switch, or wire is interrupted.
