1990 4Runner Rear Window Switch

The rear power window in my 1990 4Runner goes up and down with ease from the interior, center console switch.

It goes up from the rear switch, but does not go down from the rear switch.

I just yanked, cleaned and tested the rear lock cylinder switch that controls the back power window from outside the vehicle, suspecting it to be the problem.

Testing it for continuity in accordance with the FSM shows the switch itself GOOD.

When I plug it in and turn the key to UP (with the window fully in the UP position), I hear an audible click from the vehicle's driver rear side.

When I turn the key DOWN I hear no click at all; and nothing happens.

But there is only one relay for the rear window, right? So if it works from the console switch, the relay has to be good, correct?

So if I'm not mistaken that the relay is good, and that since the window goes up and down from the switch the motor itself is good, this has to be a wiring issue, right? Weird, because everything back there looks pristine. No corrosion, no floppy wires. Factory adhesive on the plastic sheeting was still intact.

I have the exact same problem and am curious as to the solution. I orderd a couple relays but not sure that is the answer.
