Any information would be appreciated I have a rebuilt engine I sent a lil hard one night thought maybe blew head gasket changed it , it now runs just like crap smoking tell it’s oil smoke coming from tail pipe I checked compression and it has 180 across all 4 cylinder I didn’t notice when I changed head gasket two exhaust valves was leaking when I was spraying it down with break cleaner could it be head or need re ringed

 

Leak down test will answer your questions. yuo can borrow the tool from most parts stores, don't need to buy. you will need a small compressor, though, to run the test.
Watch a few Youtube videos to see what to do before you run your own.
Leakdown tests express everything as a percentage, unlike a compression test that does psi. But many things are similar.

 

I actually tried leak down test today I had bought one off Amazon but I don’t think it’s worth a darn and also kept have issues with it rolling the motor over

 

It’s a little tricky to do and get at TDC, but put the truck in gear.
