1987 Toyota 4x4 load proportioning valve
HELP I’ve looked everywhere for OEM aftermarket and even called Toyota. The part is discontinued!!!!! I can’t find any information if different years will retrofit.

Email McGeorge online Toyota parts, and give them the VIN number, and tell them exactly what you need to do.
I had to replace the LPV on my 92 2wd last year, and they had that part, but I had a bad kinked brake line that needed to be replaced. It was discontinued, but whoever emailed me said he might find one that would work. Sure enough they found a Toyota line that fit exactly like the old one did. I think they said it came from an older model truck. You might get lucky. From what I can remember, the LPV was expensive.
If you can't get a new one, you might have to plumb in an aftermarket Wilwood adjustable.
Good used LPV valves are probably far and few between because the rubber boot covering the valve starts getting water in it, and the valve is sitting in water getting ruined. That's exactly what caused my valve to go bad.

Toyota P/N: 47910-35090 fits both my 1987 4Runner and my 1988 Pickup 4x4. I've replaced them both. I paid $122.03 from ToyotaPartsEStore in February of this year. Don't put in a manual valve. It will never be as good. Go OEM, it lasted 25+ years. It works the way it was engineered to. After factoring in the cost of the manual valve and the loss in performance, the price difference is small and not worth it.

If the boot is bad, Toyota P/N: 04477-60010 is the Bush & Boot kit. New rubber boot, new spring clamp, all new bushings and washers for all the joints in the LSPV and rod all the way down to the axle.
