need to find load sensing proportioning and bypass valve
Ok guys so my fluid loss is coming from my load sensing proportioning and bypass valve, found that on the net. I can't find one so I asume its a dealer item. What kind of $$$ am I looking at? Can I just run the lines to the wheel cylinders instead? The rubber boot on the thing is full of brake fluid so I guess its leaking inside of there. Did I mention working on brake systems suck.

I'd check you local salvage yards first. Betting that valve is spendy from the dealer.
If you remove it completely, you might have some brake balance problems.
You could replace it with a manual valve however... that might work. I just did a rear disc swap, so I eliminated the LSPV all together. Here are the parts you'd need and a pic.
From Summit Racing I bought the following:
EAR-989538ERL (Qty 2): Adapter -3 AN to 10mm x 1.0 Inverted Flare
EAR-916103ERL (Qty 2): -3 AN Female to 1/ 8 in. NPT Male
SUM-G3905 (Qty 1): Brake Proportioning Valve, 1/ 8 in. NPT, Single Inlet/ Outlet

I was just looking at one of those, problem being is that I have 2 lines running to the rear and this only had 1 inlet, the yota unit has a dual inlet then a single out. Anyone know if I could just put the 2 line into a fitting then run them combined to a manual valve?

Look over this thread.

Even though it's for a disc swap, I did some things with the brake lines to the LSPV that might apply to your issue.

That is an excellent writeup but to do it that way I would have to do aot of brake line work since mine now comes out of the MC and has the rears and fronts inter-connected. I could do it that way but would have to replumb the truck.

you definatly need to replace it or take it out as a whole. it messes with the braking power in the rear... i know after my lift before I adjusted it it was really weak back there

Once you are down to one line, then a after market prop valve from either Summit or FROR can be installed and adjusted.
With all these options, simply replacing the LSPV with another one is going to be the easiest... but maybe not the cheapest.

should just be able to get a toyota one from a junkyard for a reasonable price no? Id just do that and if your not happy with your braking back there do wut i did and unbolt it from the bracket on the diff and tie it up to the frame so u get max braking in the back. Ive had it like that for 6months and no complaints

thanks folks I am going to check the yards tomorrow morning and then if that fails I am going to use an aftermarket one and isolate the fronts from rears, mine are tied together in a wierd way with a union or 2.
