1986 Pick Up Sending Unit 2 pin

I’ve got a 86 pickup 2wd & completely gutted out the wiring harness, I bought a glow shift fuel gauge & wanted to wire it to my sending unit which is a 2 pin with a yellow/red & white/black wire. What wire is what coming out of the sending unit?

You're going to have to find an electrical schematic for your truck. OR I just Google searched this (1986 Toyota pickup fuel sending unit to gauge wiring diagram) and got a good AI reply that might be exactly what you're looking for for the wiring colors and the Ohm readings of different fuel levels.

Toyota senders "usually" don't have the proper ohm range for many aftermarket gauges. Is the Glow shift gauge advertised to work with your application?

If not, TanksInc has a product called MeterMatch Fuel Gauge Interface Module. It will let any fuel sender work with any gauge. I have one so my fuel cell sender works with my Toyota gauge. Super easy to wire in and program. Made in U.S.A and works great.

Glow shift says there is numerous ohm capabilities, I wanna try an ohm sweep on my sending unit. But the picture I have is when I was working on the truck. Bed is back on & the truck is black now. Project is finished only thing that doesn’t work is my fuel gauge. If my sending unit is still good I’ll probably get rid of the glow shift. Thanks for your help!🤙🏾
