1986 4Runner: Replacement mirrors

Hello, first, I've been lurking here for many months and decided to join. Thank you to everyone for sharing their pictures, experiences & tech help.

I currently working on my 4Runner and want to replace the sagging OEM mirrors. I've seen several pictures around the net where people have replaced them with the much sturdier truck-style mirrors. Are there any that work better than others? Is there a hole in the door that I will have to cover up?

I've attached a picture of my rig taken a week or two ago as an introduction.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome aboard!
The mirrors like on my truck require 4 holes in the door and do not use any of the same holes as the mirrors on your truck so I guess you would have to do bodywork, plug, or ignore your original holes. If you want to replace the original mirrors, I believe I saw that style available at lowrangeoffroad.com

You mentioned they're sagging, have you tried tightening the tensioner inside?

I've thought about replacing my little wing window with a mount for a new mirror. Got bigger fish to fry tho.
