won't start
85 4runner stock - turns over and acts like its going to fire then dies/ like it fires once or twice then quits even it I push the pedal .. I tried some starter fluid and that caused to to start for a very short time and time immediately.
I checked fuel open the banjo at the cold start injector there was pressure when I cracked the bolt and turning the motor a good spark of fuel ?
where do I go next ? anyone have a check list to work off of to figure this out ?

Carb or injection? Do you have you AFM cord connected? The more info you can give us of you rig the better. What motor. What mods to the rig. Motor, electrical, egr delete, transmission, etc.
Post a few pictures of your engine bay as well. Just host them on something like flicker or anything but photobucket. Often time it’s easy to overlook a plug when your too closely involved but other will see it right away. Ask me how I know.
Edit: there is another thread on the first page with similar issues.

Is the cable connected to your air filter box? Is the air tube connected between the air filter box and the plenum? Cranking the motor pulls air thru the air box which activates the Circuit Opening Relay located behind the passenger speaker which in turns activates the fuel pump. To see if your fuel pump is working, you can jumper the Fuel Pump with a paper clip.
The 3rd picture is for the fuel pump, 2nd picture is for getting any codes, is for the 85-86 test port. https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f199...l#post51760299
