what lift for my 85 4runner

so i have a 1985 4runner, and i'm not 100% sure how i want to lift it. i want it to pretty much be a street legal crawler. i'm really leaning towards the all pro extreme lift kit? then i was thinking about the 63" chevy spring/rear up front. or just buying trail gear spring.
i really like the idea of all pro lift just because everything comes in one big package deal. i wouldnt have to get springs here and mounts from there and shocks somewhere else.
does anyone suggest one over another, pros and cons of each. any reason not to get all pro?
i appreciate all the help/info i can get.

It depends, how much are you willing to fabricate? You can save a bunch of money building your own parts vs. buying everything.

OME entire kit. This will work great unless you want to run larger than 33" tires. Search under my name if you want to see pics of an '85 4Runner.

fabricating isnt really a problem, but the little extra money it would cost just to buy the allpro kit would seem worth it just to be convenient.
and the OME kit seems nice, i just dont think it would perform off road as well as some alternatives.

keep em coming

There are a lot of good kits out there but IMHO there isn't a better set-up than OME for that lift height. Maybe you need to give us a hint or two as to what you want (e.g. tire size, lift height, etc.).

He said rock crawling so im assuming 5-6 inches of lift and around 35's maybe 37's. But like I said thats all assumption. The all-pro kit is great, the only reason I went with trail gear was the price was a little better at the time. Just look at marlin, t.g., and all-pro and see which one has the characteristics/specs of what you want.

IMHO, all i gotta say about that is don't buy cheap lifts like pro comp and superlift for the '85 unless you'll never wheel it... but since you want to wheel it, all-pro, trail-gear, marlin, old man emu are all good quality kits. Just up to you now as to what size lift/tires you want, how much fab you wanna do, and how much change you are willing to spill... hope that helps, good luck

yes! thats what i wanted to hear, all the kits seem to come with the same things, just a little different pricing. right now all pro has it on sale.
the all pro shipped would be the price of marlins before shipping.
