I knew it was in-lbs, not many of us shade tree mechs have a torque wrench in in-lbs...

IIRC when I did mine with an in-lb torque wrench it was about a half turn from finger tight with new grommets and a new valve cover gasket.

Will gas leaking in the vacuum system cause extra noise, such as I described? I noticed a drop of gas from the AAP tube at the BVSV. I believe the AAP diaphragm was leaking, it was dry/stiff too. I replaced the AAP diaphragm and the BVSV plus some new vacuum tube. Then reset the lash settings to .007 & .009, now it purs like a kitten
