transmission not engaging
Short sweet and to the point. ive been having clutch truble but the truck would allways move.its been slipping like a bandit and i had to drive it that way to get it home after a crash. its been sitting for a month so today i started playing around with it. she started rite up with a boost from my suzuki. runs great but i can shift the shifter with no clutch as if it wasent running.all gears. it isent nutraled out from the 4x4. no grinding no noise no movement what so ever.is there eneyway the clutch/flyweel could be so burnt that it is not conecting with the trans or somthing like that. i am verry stumped and this is a freshly rebuilt trans. need help asap cuz this is killing me!!

ok that is deff what i wanted to hear. i was afraid that maby i blew the trans. i no i burnt the clutch to hi hell my truck reaks of it but i dident no that it would stop working alltogether.

update i riped the trans out. all went verry well due to the guys at aamco not putting the hard bolts in all the way.haha i love aamco fuc***s. question do i have to use an impact to take the clutch/ fly wheel off because i an just spinning the motor as i try to remove the cultch covor.mind the spelling it took a few brews to get er dun haha

clutch is out!!! thank you 83. the trick worked. i use a pice of wood.couldent have went eney better. now for some pics. i belive this thing is tost but i rather u guys take a look too to let me no how yall feel.my flywheel dosent look to bad. there are some little purple burn marks not many tho. i have another one im not sure if its in eney better shape tho.i really dont no what a bad wheel looks like.help on that would be nice too. thanks alot

Sweet. It was even more fun for me because my engine was sitting on the floor of my garage with the flywheel still on. I actually used a metal bar...but it didn't seem to harm the teeth. I guess I haven't checked back in a long time but I'm glad to see you got it out!

that clutch doesnt look to be bad enough to not engage like you were saying, unless the pressure plate or flywheel was really really bad. my guess is that your hydrolic clutch system was leaking and because it sat for so long it got air in it like my buddies.
