tps problems

Ok guys i think im having tps problems. I jumpered the conection and no change in idle. Also i checed the timing before and after jumper and no change. Put ohm meeter on and every thing test out good except idle point so im thinking tps is bad but dnt want to replace it till i know for sure any suggestions would be grate.

Really need more info. What the symptoms or reason for checking the TPS? Make, model, and year would be nice as well.

It is an 85 sr5 pick up 22re motor my timming is out an I have a code 11. So I tested the tps and get nothing on the idle e2 part of the testing and u have to jumper the t and e2 to time it and nothing happens when I jumper it. And it has a spit sputter at idle due to timming

You may just need to adjust the idle contact setting:

If you can't get it to adjust right, then it is likely bad.

Well, if you are confident in your reading, then that sounds like the contact trip inside the TPS is dirty or burned. Sounds line a replacement TPS is in order.

Ok that's what I was thinking ordered one today. Ya case when I stuck my feeler gauges to gape it at 50, 70 , and 85 I got nothing all 0ohms but everything else works kinda weird runs grate going down the road but it sounds funny at idle and I checked the afm and that was good and the code 11 has to do with idle point in tps and I can't get my timing to do anything when I jumper it so I'm thinking the same it comes in Tuesday I'll post on progress thanks for the suggestions

I'm almost positive that's exactly what it's supposed to be. Glad to see it was just your tps and you don't have my luck(throwing a IDL code from TPS and ended up being a burnt valve).
