Throttle Linkage Bushing

I have a '85 4x4 extended cab 5 speed with a 22R. The throttle linkage that mounts to the intake and connects the throttle cable to the carb has an arm on it that looks like a hook and the retainer for the cable looks like a cam. I believe that arm is supposed to have 2 white plastic bushings on it. Mine only has 1 bushing and the throttle is sticking a little. Because the fit is a little sloppy the spring on the same arm is acting up. I rigged up a helper spring and that works but I would like to fix it correctly

I have searched.

I have looked for a parts diagram.

Can't really find any info on the internet on fixing it I suppose this is something that doesn't typically break. Just looking for some tips on fixing it. I live in the country so I don't have some place I can go to that has drawers full of plastic bushings I can dig through to find one that is similar. Although I do realize that might be my only option.

I assume what has happened is someone had the carb off and they lost the bushing. I pretty much have saved this truck from the crusher. Cut the rust out of it, Patched all the floor pans and made a woods truck out of it. Flat bed, lift, 36 inch tires, lockers, flat black rattle can paint, etc.

What it looked like before.... the remants of a car smash fundraiser. Completely trashed. Here is what I'm working with now:

A picture of the part in question would be helpful. Did you mean this part?

If so that is the Bellcrank & I doubt that Toyota offers new ones or parts to fix old ones. Hardware store bushings cabinets may be your only solution. I looked about on the web for diagrams & info & also came up empty.

That is the part. I've got nothing on the left hand side of the linkage rod it is just sticking through the large hole in the bracket and retained by a retainer ring. There is slop on the shaft at the left hand end so there is slop in that hook where it connects to the carb on the opposite end/ right side in the picture. We are not talking about a ton but enough that the carb will not fully return to idle on it's own with a helper spring.

If I hunt down a bushing that works I will post a fix. I am assuming there is a bushing there. The one in the picture is possibly black not white.

Thanks

I did some more looking around the web & found a few things. Here's one that actually has flanged bushings in metric sizes (since Toyota parts are usually based on Metrics). You's just have to do some measuring to get the size right, but it looks like you can order what you need & have it sent to you direct.

And there is the good old stand-by, the McMaster-Carr Catalog. They have a ton of different sizes but only appear to have Imperial/Inch sizes; however I'm reasonably sure you could find something that is VERY close to the measurements you need.

The Light Duty Nylons should be good enough for the application, but there are other choices as well. Here is the overview page for reference.

I've had to do several "hardware store" fixes on my '78 & almost always found a part or piece that worked fine. I'm sure you could do the same.
