Taco E locker in 1985

So I found a really good deal on a complete rear end with an e-locker from a wrecked truck. I actually can get the 5 speed trans&xfer case drive shafts and all the front end drive components as well which I pan to sell to a friend with a prerunner. I also have the switch for the elocker. I am thinking of keeping the trans and the rear to install in my truck. The trans will be utilized when I upgrade to a 4.3 LV3 or ls1 next gen v6. My question for the immediate short term is what is the best way to go about the rearend swap. I assume a complete swap is the easiest way to do this since the 3rd wont fit in my housing correct? The next question is on the wiring. I assume a simple fused relay circuit will suffice?

There is plenty of info out on this. I would swap the entire axle since you have it.

The Tacoma axle is quite a bit wider than yours (your front too).
Modifying your housing isn't that difficult nor is building a controller.
I run one in my front axle.
Here's a good write up: http://www.4x4wire.com/toyota/tech/electric_locker/
