Slipping clutch when HOT

Slipping clutch when HOT
So I recently bought an 85 Runner with a 22R converted to EFI, lift, 35s etc.. the truck runs great around town to and from work no problems, I noticed a couple times after sitting in traffic for 30 - 40 mins once I was on the open road again the clutch would be slipping, I went and did some pretty knarly Wheeling on the weekend and when I was trying this step up I noticed the same thing, so I simply went around and it seemed to be fine for the rest of the trail. When I got back on the HWY I really had to feather the throttle or it would slip major. After 10 mins of HWY drving it was back to normal. So today I pulled the Trans only to discover a brand new Centerforce disc and Presure plate. No hot spots on the Flywheel or pressure plate, rear main is leaking (minor) no oil visuable on disc or flywheel.
any suggestions??
I'm maybe thinking the flex line is somehow collapsing under high heat??
Thanks to ANY input

PS I'm not riding it

I think I remember reading about some people having problems with Centerforce clutches not lasting long. Try searching for that since I could be wrong about that. Since it is taken apart, grease the linkage to make sure that it is not sticking.
What exactly is the "flex line" that you are talking about? If it is the hydraulic line, then I think the pedal would act a lot different, it would probably be a lot harder to press, but I doubt that is it. What mods does your engine have? If the previous owner did a lot to it then maybe it is more than the clutch can handle.

I thought all 85 4 runners were EFI
The fluid in the clutch system should not get that hot and expand. I say some oil did get on the new clutch and that's why it's slipping. Go for a new clutch! I've had great luck with LUK Gold clutches in Toyota's.

replace the pilot bearing while you have it open I replaced my clutch because it was slipping got the tranny out and the clutch was fine but the pilot bearing was missing about 5 ball bearings.
I still replaced the clutch and had the fly wheel resurfaced at that time.
also did the rear main seal and oil pan gasket.
