You can't compare the abuse sliders take to the dings bumpers get, regardless of the steel grade.

If you wheel it, it's gonna dent, or hit a light pole at the mall.

Its interesting info, but IMO I would rather not deal with Marlin, EVERY encounter I have had with their customer support and trying to order, including shipping has been a hassle and a bad memory. Dealing with TG has been fantastic EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Both are good products, and I prefer to support people that deal with their customers in a proper way. Just my thoughts.

Maybe a bit off topic, but Marlin rarely has stuff in stock, in my experience.

I would prefer to get things from smaller vendors to show my support to the little guy, but when I need something I don't want to wait a month...
