Hey All,

Just a question. Pondering buying an 85 w/ a solid axle and giving up my 95 that has had some work put into it. The question I pose is will the 1995 rear differential (it is re-geared and locked) fit in this hypothetically new 4runners stock rear axle? Also, in the same vein, would it fit in the front axle? Are they all the same 8" size?

1985 pickup, 4runner? also the same question for the 95.

 

The rear from the 95 should fit in the front or rear of the 85. But be aware that the gears in both diffs need to match if you plan on using 4wd.
