Question about replacing front main seal

If you changed the front main seal on a 22re, did you remove the entire radiator? Or can you remove the fan and shroud leaving the radiator in place? Thanks.

take the radiator out. it takes no time. pluss u get more room!

I agree with akaphilly, remove the radiator. Too easy to puncture the cooling fins as you extract the main seal / oil pump. A little bit of extra work, but much easier than soldering shut a leak!
