Yes I know, I make sure and take full advantage of it. Heated, large air compressor, Big Miller welder, cutting tortch, plasma cutter, the works! Its been fun so far I just cant wait till I get to play with it.

Weekend goals
-Get shock mounts welded and shocks attached
-Get gas tank supports in and tank mounted
-Get rear cab supports welded up on frame and cab attached
-Get box frame supports on and box fasened down

(Depends on how much snowmobiling I do tho too..... )

 

Completed:
-Got shock mounts welded and shocks attached.
-Got gas skid plate mounted.
-Got rear cab supports welded up on frame and cab attached.
-Got box frame supports on and box fasened down.
-Got leafs and shackels all finished up on rear.
-New brake lines run.
-Dash, and 75% of interior installed.
-Roll bar set in box and marked for holes to be drilled.
-99% of under hood assembly finished.
-All lights work.
-New fuel line, pump, and filters bought.

At the moment:
-working on flushing and cleaning out tank, installing it in box, running new lines with filters.
-bleeding brakes.

Whats left?
-Mounting fuel tank in box.
-Connect lines and filters.....START!
-Bleed the brakes
-Make center counsil around shifters (was alll hacked up)
-Mount roll bar.
-Spray truck flat black and bed liner from bumber to bumper.

Im going for on the road this weekend!

Got it started today... a bit ahead of scedual but im not complaining! She purrs with it coming right off the manifold. hahahaha

 

Just an FYI fo reveryone to be on the look out for action pics. I will have the beast out on the roads for the 1st time in over 8 years this weekend!!!!!

Well everyone I havent had much time to take out and do much but I figured I had to get a couple pics up for you all to prove that it is running and driving. I took it out back at the shop and got a few pics of it on a couple whimpy little mounds of snow.

well its been a few weeks now and it runs drives great...with the exception of only getting 8.5 mpg! Im going to go ahead and say that the stock 4:10 gears arnt cutting it with the 33x12.5s I have to fill up every 150 miles! Its either spend the money on diff gears or im already looking into a SBC 350, trany, T-case, w/ full size axles. Just need some money to buy the truck im looking at getting it all out of.

I will be partingout an 85 pickup if anyone is interested let me know...axles, some interior, motor, auto trany, windows, the works. Some stuff is already gone tho.

why did you paint the frame yellow?

 

Well the best resone I have is..."no real resone at all" The truck will be black this spring and I would like to do a full exo-cage in the feuture so I would paint that yelow as well. Just somthing fun and differant for the most part. :

just finished the deal and am buying this 87 chevy 4x4 and pulling the drive train out and will be putting it in the yota this spring/summer!!!!! This is what $200 will get you.

87 Chevy full size
350 SBC
Auto trany/T-case
6 lug straight front and rear axles
and a truck body and frame to scrap!

 

tsk tsk, putting a chebby motor in a Yota. That is a sin, you know....

After all that work to get the 22r running and your going to drop a 350 in her!! lol

I know how you feel, as a fellow mud runner (not so much anymore, since I found out about offroad parks!!! LOL), you play in the mud, and these little motors just dont have the power!! Of course I get so much traction now, muds not fun anymore!!!

 

yea te 22RE just aint cutting it anymore. It has only been around 4 weks of driving it on the streets and off road a few times (snow) and its fun but just dosnt have the power I want. I know I cant expect much out f it, and im still running stock gears but this V8 swap and full size axles will not only be fun to do, and be used for what I do with my rigs, but also look bad ass! Should eb a fun project.
