yeah i gt the 94 v6. guy at autozone said it takes 4.75 qts. so im thinking the dipstick might be da problem. maybe its an aftermarket one and is shorter than the original? im prolly gna go to the dealer and ask em if they have a stock dipstick just for peace of mind lol

also depends on the size of the oil filter. 4 qts does NOT 100% fill a 22re with a filter, after the truck is started. according to mitchell at work, oil capacity with filter and warm engine is 4.40qts. put in 5.5 qts and you should be reading fine. chances are the dipsticks fine.
and x2 on oil pump.

Exclamation

Back to the subject of the thread, i took the oil filter off yesterday and it seemed to be clogged with a silicone, i cleaned it off and put a new filter on STILL getting really low oil pressure, Like i said i recently changed the timing chain and from the looks of it the oil pump looked fine but at the time i wasn't looking for any damage or wear

Have you checked the sending unit? My jeep's sending unit got plugged with a little piece of sludge and would read low. Pulled it out and hit it with some brakleen and it read properly. Just an idea...
