If you are a young man, do not go to Alaska because the rest of the planet will pale in comparison and you will never want to leave."

but in all seriousness gas is a little higher, fruit and beef are higher but sea food is way lower. hunting is dirt cheap for residents as is fishing. there is more to see if you are outdoorsy that you could see in a life time, and yet anchorage is still big enough to have most the ammenities you could ask for.
I am happy with it besides the distance from my family and the rising cost of airfare.

no problem, i will even let her call my wife if she really wants to. she moved from san fransisco to here so she has gone through a new realism and loves it now. you just have to be open for adventure and it will work.

UPDATE:
so this mystery truck i was hopping to get fell through. it was an 03 taco double cab that was rolled for 1000 bucks but the guy that is selling it stopped returning my phone calls so i am assuming it sold. so the work will commense on fixing the issues with this truck and most likely extending the cab into a crew cab or a long extra cab if i get real lazy and flustrated with body work. i already got a spare parts truck i picked up for 300 bucks then sold the front axle for 400!!! i also picked up some power leather seats out of an 06 or 07 explorer that will be going in to replace the old worn out toy seats, and now that i got a seco0nd transfer case expect to see duals with a drive line e-brake....well now i just go tot get my arse to work on it!!! hopefully this weekend will bring some progress!

Yea, Make up your mind damnit. And get to work. haha, jk. Your truck is killer.
I am picking up a full set of yota axles next week. Comes with two sets of rear leafs. Going to do RUF with my straight axle conversion.
Its going on the 93 4Runner.
IF you need the extra space why not Get a runner?
By the way if you get down to spokane next summer and are going wheeling let me know. Im in tri-cities. And i would be down to tow my rig up for some wheelin.
I am a comercial/Industrial union electrician, Is there alot of construction up there? Alot of union? or non-Union?
I know there is alot of non union plumbing. Friend just came down from there.

thanks on the truck, i actually finally decided to just keep the truck and fix it up,and add a camper shell for the dog and to sleep in. might even add an auxilary heater for the cold months. i started to pull the new 4.3 to replace the bad one but didn't get any pics because it was dark for one (gets dark at 530 this time of year) and for two i was outside and it was 28 degrees so i was trying to work fast! i did aquire a tow rig cheap and have an 89 ex cab i want to diesel swap some time this winter when the wheeling season is in a lul.
as for electricians i work for a company that does power generation and i can tell you there is alot of electrical union up here and there is still work, not as much as there used to be but it is still not as slow as down there. i know my family is in spokane and the storys they tell me are way worse than it is up here.
