well the diesel and trailer is out of the question right now so looks like i am going to be waiting on swapping the motor and installing my hydro assist and then fender flares and mud flaps and hopefully that will look streetable enough for the cops around here. found out i can get a seasonal waiver up here for it so i can drive it any where from april to september and then only outside of anchorage in the winter. this shouldn't be too bad. i am looming at building another truck to throw the one tons under soon, like a 89 ex cab with a tundra 4.7 but we will see if finances will allow that.

I will post pictures soon as i get back to working on this beast.

i got bored yesterday waiting for the UPS man so i fired up the turtle and ran her up the redneck rti ramp...lol

i need a bigger wood stack cause i think she has more flex in there but i maxed out the stack.

hope to get back to work on her shortly, now that wood is cut and most is ready for winter next project is getting a dry place to work on her and then going at it, that is if i don't get another platform to swap the good stuff onto but you guys will have to wait and see if that happens.....

Yeah, I'm jealous of the freedoms that you have up there.
They're not too bad here, but still.

yeah alaska is one if not the only state to allow concealed carry without a license and you can carry as young as 16 if you have a letter from your parents!

Wife was born in Anchorage and Father in Law owns a few Adult Family Homes in Anch and Wasilla.

I'm trying to get wifey to move up there !!

Is there alot of places to wheel near by ?

She's a city gal so I need to tempt her with that.

After she graduates college though she wants to do some Dentistry in the bush, they pay pretty pennies I hear.

there are massive amounts of places to wheel up here! with a state that road only covers like 25% of the state there are even more to be expkored.

oh and dont worry my wife was a city girl and she loves it up here.

just tell your wife there is a nordstroms and a macy's...lol that is what i did

I love it up here for the awesome summers and scenery and experiences you cant get anywhere else!

Sorry for the hi-jack. give us something to talk about since you're not working on your truck, haha.

I hear alot of bad things about local gangs, no jobs and high cost of living compared to down here ?

Whats up with that, myth or reality?

well i grew up in spokane and i am here cause there are more jobs than there so that pretty much answers that question. the cost of living is higher her but the no sales tax and the PFD check every year from the oil company helps alot and salaries are higher to reflect the cost of living too.

as for gangs i bet there are some but i have walked around down town in the middle of the night and never had a problem or even seen anything related to gang members. as i was told the gangs were bad in the early 90s but they have been cracked down on and now are not an issue.

I would say alot of the cost of living rise is housing in anchorage, if you live in wasilla or farther out it drops in price real quick!

dont worry about hyjacking, i am used to talking in threads without any work ever getting done....cough...cough 907runnerfan.... hahaha

Just need to please the wife at the same time

Hm, maybe I should move up and get to know you. I could use the connections haha.

My father-in-law is an electrician on the pipeline. He's in the bush (that right?) half the time.

usually pipe line workers are in prudhoe bay which every one calls the slope or north slope. the bush is more the rural villages scattered around the state.
