No ignition power - headlights and heater still work
Hey guys,
After coming out from buying groceries the other day I went to start my truck and... nothing. Truck is a 1984 with 22re 5 sps. Interior lights, radio, gauge lights don’t work and I have no ignition power. My headlights, hazzards, And heater still work and the battery charge light is on. The battery charge light is the only light within my gauge cluster that seems to have power. What could it be? Heater blows hard and headlights are bright and battery is reading over 12v.
edit: I took my steering column apart to troubleshoot further. With the ignittion in the on position (and the charge battery light on) I have power between the ground and brown cable terminals on the back of the ignition. If I jump the ground terminal to the terminal below the brown cable the truck will start and run but Guages, interior lighting and radio still don’t work and the truck is not charging. Sorry for the poor write-up I’m uploading from my phone.
Any suggestions? Pic below
cheers

Mine did something similar it ended up being the tail light relay. I touched the connectors from the backside of the panel with a test light after pulling the fuse box in the kick panel. The truck came back to life no idea why. I could have jiggled a loose connection pulling the panel I could not figure it out.
