I'm guessing they're Denhams? They went belly up yrs ago, but made some cool tires. Ground Hawgs were their main tire iirc.

You know, I didn't give it much thought but they have been regrooved, haven't they? Yes Ground Hawgs, and they're Denham branded also, so guess that they were made before Interco/Super Swamper bought them.

No, I didn't. I paid the full asking price of $8500 plus airfare and shipping because there were 4 guys right behind me who would've as soon as they got their hands on the cash. Bought new, there is more than half that amount in just aftermarket parts with/on it.

This was after months of religiously watching every Craigslist board in the country on Searchtempest and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. If you find me another 4runner with 27k for less than twice that maybe I'll have some buyers remorse. Probably not though.

A friend of mine had good luck with POR, but I talked with him and he said he didn't clean his frame thoroughly. So maybe I'll stick to Herculiner.

WJY - I plan on keeping the rear bumper, I can avoid rear-ending things, but can't speak for all the other drivers on the road! May be getting rid of some misc parts that won't transfer to the 88 after SAS, but that's a ways off yet.
Mine came out awesome at first but it didn't hold up. Lasted about four years. Doesn't like to come on contact with oil. Yeah it was the diesel. Spent the better part of last winter fixing the rust of the back half.

Bummer man, rust is definitely the worst aspect of driving in the northeast. I almost didn't want to buy anything too nice to avoid feeling bad about driving it in the winter and destroying a piece of Yota history Bedliner and bar oil it is...

Believe it has 5.29's in it now and it came with a couple other sets.

I still need to sort through them and make sure I have a setup that will work well with 31's. That's something I won't know if I want to get rid of until I start work on it in the spring.

What part of vermont are you in. I used to live in WRJ but just bought a house in enfield, NH. let me know if you have any cool parts you want to get rid of.

Just moved over the river then? I'm contemplating a similar move in the coming years, but in Mt Holly now. Maybe I'll hit you up for some good trails on the other side come springtime, although nothing too extreme for this truck yet... Keep y'all posted on parts when I get to them.
