NICE FIND! Are you sure it's an 85? I thought that year was solid axle/efi/holy grail of 4Runners from the factory. I could be wrong just as easily.
The back end isn't even on the tire like most of them.
I can make your decision easier too, if you'd want an 83 truck...

Looks awesome!
It's hard to tell from those pics if there's a solid axle under it but an '85 isn't hard to spot.

That thing is so clean.

Come on, hack up the grey one with the green door. Go crazy with that one.

Use the new one for simple, mellow wheeling and camping or a daily driver.

[QUOTE=85TurboRunner;51221341]

You can always spot a solid axle '84 or '85 Toy by the valance. They stopped this style with the 2 notches where the hooks can mount up. After that year they only had one notch where the one factory hook is on the passenger side.

Great score! I am so jealous. What a price too!

that gray one is already pretty hacked up.

I used it for parts for my other 4runner. Now I'm trying to get rid of whats left.

As for hacking this one up I was just kidding. Its too damn nice. I'm trying to decide whether or not to put the running gear out of my other runner under this one though. I can't really keep 2 4runners and I'd like the capability of the other one and the niceness of this one. It would be all bolt on so if I ever wanted to go back to stock it really wouldn't be hard.

Yeah its pretty much rust free other then 2 spots on the body where the paint is chipped off. Living in the PNW has its perks when it comes to that.

Nice find. From the "oil" underneath my bet is there are other little "issues" that you are going to have to fix as well.

Holy God, this is my dream Runner. One day I hope to own an 85, soon since my 87 Runner was stolen and I had over 10K invested in it without insurance. Keep this ans build the other one. This is a marvelous find. DONT YOU DARE SELL IT.

X2....

One of the 1st things I would do is start nailing curbs with the Driver side front tire for a set of matching white walls

seriously, have fun with the new toy

edit--just realized it had OR plates, thought it looked familiar from my craigslist troll
--looks like you decided what to do with the gray one: http://portland.craigslist.org/clk/pts/1358997846.html
