Extream Loss Of Mind!!! Carb Issue

I recently bought a carb from a yota brother on here and it is exactly what was needed...however i am going to rebuild it and dont know exactly what to order as for the rebuild kit...help please.... there is a black block on the bottom of the carb what is the name of this part....

while i was removeing the old carb i accidently broke one of two wires that connect to the top of the thermostat housing...i have the manual but have no idea what the parts name is... and is it expensive to replace the wiring harness that connects these parts...or is there a good quick fix...wire broke to close to the plug base to fix.

one more tid bit ...the tranny is original and there is so much play in the stick that no matter what gear it is in i can push or pull the stick all the way from side to side.... any ideas on what is needed and were can i get it quick and cheep...

thanks again phill for the carb, and thanks to all who can give some help...

I can't help you with the carb issues since I've only had EFI trucks but the sloppy shifter can most likely be fixed by replacing the shifter seat bushings.

You can get them here http://www.marlincrawler.com/htm/tra...rans_parts.htm or the dealership probably.

You can get a good carb rebuild kit from NAPA, the rebuild kit is around 60 dollars. There are cheaper kit, but you get what you pay for.
