New coils or spacers?
My runner sags like a sob so i wanna fix the it and run 33x9.5 or 10.5s. I was told that you cant install new coils by yourself cause you need special tools. true? If so i dont have the money to get them professionally installed. What are the best rear coil spacers? and how hard are they to install
And i asked in the wheels forum but what are the rims called that space your wheels? And what are a cheap pair that space the tires out quite a bit?
thanks

Go with the new coils. They are easy to install with the right tools (sockets) or air tools make things much easier and know how. Just search. I used Daystar spacers on my first 2nd gen 4runner, but that's before I knew about yotatech. I think 4crawler has spacers.

And what rims are you looking for? I have crager soft 8 with 3.75 back spacing i think. Been so long since I've talked about them i forgot. But check summitracing.com they have the wheels i got for $38 a wheel.

oh damn that was the most retarded post ever. I meant wheels not rims and posted it in the wrong forum i have a 93 ;( but you can put coils in with just sockets? my shop teacher said you need specialized compression tools but if you dont thats bad ass! way more legit than a block!

You only need coil compressers for struts. Jack up the body, block it, put the jack under the hanging rearend, let it support the rear, detach the coils, let the rear down just a bit, remove old coils, bolt in new ones.

alright ill keep that in mind for future posts.
one last question, how does the amount of backspacing affect handling? i like the look of the spaced out tires and think it would make the car steadier but havent driven anything with with radical spacing.
also what does the width of rim mean as far as mounting tires? i want something with pretty radical offset but the rims offered aree much wider than stock and i wanna run 33x10.5s or 9.5s. what width rim will accommodate these?
