Ya... seems like wabbit was right about the costs being nearly the same. This is what I'm thinking.

Install classic 3" lift with high steer etc...
put my current 33x12.5's on the truck
install bushwackers

If all seems good then stick with the setup and install 4.88's. If I don't really like it then sell the 33x12.5's (got them for $500 with 90% tread, so I shouldn't lose on them) and get 35's and install 5.29's and sit back and drink a few brews when it's done. ha ha.

i dont think i saw anyone tell you about the rough country springs but i had them on mine. theyre junk. they are actually shorter in length than the stock springs and give you a horrible shackle angle and a rough ride.

Thanks for the input. I'm kinda set on the classic lift kits at this point. I'm just looking for someone that has any photos with them being used. TG sells them and so does wabfab. All Pro has a similar setup, not sure if it is the same or not (seems different).

So what size lift do you think for the 84 4runner in the front and back? I will be going with the classic lift. I currently have 33's and may keep them if the lift doesn't dwarf them too bad, if not then I will go 35's and regear accordingly. I also need to take into consideration how much the springs will settle as well. Also will these springs hold up over the years?

Project "Weasel" is 4" springs front and back. Sold the truck to my shop help and he runs 37s now fixing to tub and run 38s.

33s will look small even with 3" springs I'm afraid. The kits ride so much better than the worn out stock suspension it's hard to compare.

You were asking for 3" pics. Search user "magpie". Seems like I set him up with 3" springs maybe.
