My search is over! Found my 4Runner Lookalike Camper Shell
For years, I have been searching for a camper shell that resembled a 4Runner top, but could never locate one. One day recently, one popped up on Craig’s List and I jumped in my truck to go take a look at it. I was not sure it would fit my bed as the owner was unsure of the measurements. As luck would have it, the mixture of rain and show started to fall just after I arrived. We placed it on the back and it fit perfectly! Drilled a couple of temporary holes in the back and threw a ratchet strap over the front and off I went.
It’s kind of funny how things work out when you least expect it. I completed my ZUK Mod about a week before my find. My truck sits perfect even with the extra weight of the shell. Speaking of ZUK, I got to thinking about how many times he has had an effect on my life when it comes to my truck. From great advise on the net to building awesome differentials, he has been an asset to our community. If the Toyota community ever makes a lifetime achievement award, he has my nomination.
Anyway, I had to fab some mounts as my bed is different than mounting holes on the shell. I’m thinking of Line-Xing it later on this summer.

I like the second pic
Are you going to do something with the gap between back of cab and shell?
Maybe fab some kind of clip or something that fits in there.
Nice looking rig also.

Not quite sure what I'm going to do about the gap. I know they make an inflatable boot, but have not really made a decision yet.

Staceman1, did he help you build Sliders on your vehicle? I seem to recal a truck that looked like yours parked in his garage/shop when I picked up me Diff. This would have been several years ago. Just curious.
