my 85 4runner has treated me great untill NOW!!! helpp

allright so heres my problem that has been stressing me out if you have any idea whats going on please help, all right first thing is first i have a 85 toyota 22re that will not starts a little rough and i have to pump the gas a cpl times to get her to start and get a normal idel, now this is not my problem but im letting all be knowen.... incase theres something i dont know, now after she is idleing she seems to idle fine i can rev it up and all seems great now here comes the problem i let her idle for say 5 - 15 mins then come back and hit the gas she will just die power right down, no sputtering no hiccups just power down, and will not start for half a hr and then same this will happen so on and so forth same this will happen if i drive it right away ill get a cpl mins down the road and it will just power down this is hugly stress full due to the fact i dnt have money for another ride and i absolutely love my runner shes never been rude to me untill now poor thing... if any one knows any thing please help... im stressin right out grr thanks buddies live free and rock on

Sounds like a gas delivery problem.....Might think about changing the fuel filter. I believe you can get one at autozone for $25. I think yours might be located near the starter but not sure.

Yup, the fuel filer is above the starter under the intake manifold.

You might want to check your codes as well or pull the EFI fuse out for a minute or so and try again. Also, might check your AFM to make sure that it's turning the fuel pump on.

the cold start injector on the intake manifold might be stuck open flooding the motor
