You guys are missing the fact that Slacker does everything from paint work to complete frame-off restorations. His price points are worth it.

 

What something costs and what something sells for are two different things.

I can pay someone 10k to do an engine swap, 8k to do an axle swap, 3k to put in dual cases and a new tranny then another 2k in stereo. Do I now own a 23k dollar truck. If it started life as a 93 the answer is no.

The first truck linked is lame.

The rig Bruce posted is cool, but the Formula Toy being done this year should be cooler...and mine.

 

That "fully restored" red crapper isn't worth 19k. I'm pretty sure I saw rust on the frame. And the suspension has a ways to go.

 

Dude has a point. If people are coming to him, then they know what they are getting. And if they pay, so much the better.

Point about the cost and sell of a truck is also a great point.

I'll put it this way, i just finished doing some so so body work on my truck. Took me a week. I'd almost have rather started with a new body and swapped. So, if someone were going to ask me to do as much work as a resto, i'd be asking for thier souls.
