Have you tried an auto parts store? You can also try an industrial hydraulics distributor. Here also, is a link I have found since I am in this business, http://www.tompkinsind.com/ .

Mechanical gauges suck. If you ever spring a leak in the line, you lose your oil.

FWIW, you can run a 1/8NPT tap down the sender hole a few turns, that will be enough to force a 1/8NPT fitting down it.

Otherwise put in an electric sender, or a simple oil light switch sender.

Cheers.

idiot lights suck. also doesnt display real time pressure.

NEVER use plastic line!!! buy quality braided line to prevent any damage.

any auto part store will have them, I know car quest does. also in the center of the passenger side motor mount is a oil port that you can use for the gauge

I prefer idiot lights to stock oil pressure gauges, which are unbelievably overdamped.

I prefer idiot lights to aftermarket mechanical gauges as well.

I come from a racecar background, where a light is something that you'd notice, and a gauge doesn't really tell you anything anyways, especially if you don't notice it dropping to zero.

That said, my cars and trucks run full-sweep electric oil pressure gauges in addition to the idiot light. This is for monitoring oil temps and general health. Don't tell me you stare at your gauges when driving over obstacles. It's not hard to notice an oil light though

+1 on what you said about plastic tube. If you gotta do it, braided stainless hose, or metal hard tubing is the way to go.

for most people, thats too late...

just a casual glance to verify +pressure

its nice when you can set the pressure for the idiot light!

Stock gauges are VERY slow to react. That's why an idiot light is more useful than a stock pressure gauge.

Momentary loss of oil pressure at idle speeds is not a catastrophic failure. Thinking that your oil pressure never drops to zero because your stock gauge moves too slowly is just wishful thinking.

That said, I will still wire an electric gauge instead of a mechanical one everytime.
