my son has a 85 pickup 4x4 22r 5 sped. we are ready to start the swap. have 22re ready to go in but when looking at the harness ( using harness and ecu from a 92) the harness on the 85 looks like its combined with the body harness and the 95 looks like it was seperate. the question is do i have to seperate the 85 harness from the body harness or will it be better and try a 85 ecu and harness?

 

Assuming the engine is also out of the same '92. would be best to use the '92 engine harness since some of the connectors and devices are different from an '85 engine.

great thanks... do i also have to drill a new hole for the 92 harness in the fire wall becacuse the 85 harness runs inside the fenderwell.
