Hi steer question

What are you guys all doing as far as steering shaft lengths?

You drill out the plastic pins so the collapsible steering shaft will slide for the extra lift you put on your Toyota. There are pictures and details on 4crawler's website.

I looked on his web site and only found him using a steering spacer no drilling or modifying

Wow I can't believe I missed that thanks! In your opinion doing that is just as safe as a spacer?

Just throwin it out there but another way to get the pins out is to use a propane torch. They melt out very quickly and no drilling is required.

Both ways work though.

Depending on how far the steering box is moved forward you would need a pretty big spacer and that would put added stress on the bolts.
