Head casting flaw leaking oil??

Has anyone ever seen a small pinhole leak oil on the rear driver’s side of a 22RE head?

i just changed valve cover gasket and put in billet half moons. That is all bone dry.

the oil leaks once the motor is turned off.

Mine used to leak from the EGR crossover plate before I did the rebuild. It's difficult to see on the mirror in that pic but I can kinda tell where it's at. Try looking from under the transmission looking up with a flashlight. Maybe it's something else. In a pinch JB weld might work if you could clean it up.

I just bought some JB weld yesterday great minds.

I was so convinced it was the EGR crossover plate, I bought one of those reconditioned ones with a new gasket from 22REperformace.com with the intention of replacing it, but after cleaning the back of the head up and watching it... there is no doubt it is coming from that very strange little “flaw” in the casting.

i bought this truck used and the PO had replaced the head with one he bought online, so I’m assuming an aftermarket one.

thanks for the reply!

Can you get a hammer or punch in there to peen it???

A few good dinks is all it might take to close it up.
