hacking the fenders???
I went wheeling and I rubbed a LOT on the fenders. I am okay with cutting the fenders a little but don't want to totally hack the body.
What are some ways to get more clearance and not to rub while maintaining good flex?
I have a 3'' lift and I am getting 1'' over shackles for the front and 2.5'' over for the rear.

Well hammer the pinch weld, And are you sure you are rubbing on the fender lip? or where? if its the firewall you can tub it, or get new springs that move the tire forward(rof) come to mind. IF you are rubbing the fender, get a ruler or straightegde, tape a marker to it at a certain pt. and drag the straight egde along the fender lip it will make a good line if you do it right, then take off your fender(or leave it on) then cut at a low speed and take your time.

As mentioned above, hammer the standing seam behind the plastic wheel well liner flat (2-1/2lb. sledge hammer is a good tool to use). Then trim back the wheel well liner if needed:
Then if you need to cut the actual fenders, this is what I fid:
But the real answer is to move the front axle forward:
33x9.50s w/ 3.5" lift, stock axle location:
33x15.50s, ~3.5" lift, axle 2" forward:

Then later made a new front spring hanger with a 3/4" forward hanger bolt hole location:

For a total of 2-3/4" forward axle move.
