Get rid of my spool

I got an 89 runner with a spooled rear end i have a Detroit locker in the front and really like it. I want to get something for the rear That wont eat my 37 super swampers every time i turn on asphalt. Should i get a Detroit for the rear or something else and im kinda on a budjet like the more it cost the longer ill have to save. So guys just tell me what you would run on your rig for a locker in the rear. Thanks guys see you on the trail.

An arb or elocker would be be the best, But the Detroit is one the best lockers out there.

Maybe you guys can help. How is the Detroit in a daily driver? I mostly would like real experience regarding tire wear...

I've put probably 10k or so on my tires with a detroit and see no abnormal tire wear. Mine is a Marlin 3rd and as long as it unlocks around turns i don't see why tire wear would be an issue.

I have 35" goodyear wranglers also.
