Front axel bushing question

I was getting ready to order a steering knuckle and wheel bearing rebuild kit, and noticed they did not come with the axel bushings.

How often do you find it necessary to replace the axel bushings when doing this?

Decided not to order for another day or two until I hear back from you all on weather or not this is something you would go a head and order to have ready when doing this job.

Also how likely is that I am going to need new wavey washers, and cone washers. I does not look like this has been performed on my 4runner before. The studs look like they are in good shape.

The FSM lists several special tools, if I understand right these are mainly for testing weather the ball is still round, and the shim thickness.

Do any of you test for roundness of the ball, or just do the rebuild and check the shim thickness.

You talking about the brass spindle bushings?

I think I've replaced one set period.

Just pay attention to the shims and reuse them in the same place and that will save you a lot of headache and time.
