So you're thinking of doing what the black Runner did? Or the red?

Got to work on the fenders. Cut off the pinch weld as it was all rust any way and taped off a cut line on the inner fender

I went by feel mainly. Just put the tape where it felt flat and cut inside of it. Pinch weld lip still visible in pic.

Inner fender out

Slapped some tape on so I could trim out my lines. Yes this is before I lined it out.

Finished project didn't take any picks of the cutting and bending I was ready to see it done

I'll take some pics of the cutting and bending tomorrow when I do the other side

Pics of the tape job. I took 2" at the bottoms. 2.5" at the hips. And 3" at the top. And I only did that because thats all the inner fender would allow.

almost time to pick back up on this project, had some free time so I got the motor out. Plan on tearing it down to see if I can hone it and put a std. bore rebuild kit in it or if I will have to get it machined.

Found some gears... nothing much just going from 4:10 to 4:38's should help some. Plus I put them in this sexy 58" axle tube I had laying around

Swapping the front gears a caliper and a few other parts. I didn't swap the whole axle because it was an earlier tube style axle.

Also had to hook up a push to start as my ignition took a carp on me. I picked up a 2 pin momentary switch ran one wire to the solenoid on the starter and one wire to the positive side on the battery. Turn ignition to on push the button vroom.

Lol, usually I'd agree with the whole "ant-ferd" thing, but when stuffing a v8 into a Toyota, the Ford small blocks fit nicely without a body lift (from what I've heard).

4runner to fordrunner lol... dizzy in the front and the weight put me on the 302. Its carbed, msd ignition, mechanical fuel pump, and it has a c4 behind it. should work out simple. Looking at nwor mounts and tcase adapter. Running the rad battery and fuel cell in the bed. Also doing a body lift to help with clearance.

People don't always have the great experiences with customer service at NWOR, but the owner really knows his stuff when it comes to Toyota 4x4's and especially with motor swaps

Are you gonna get their radiator too or do you have another plan?

Hadn't looked at their radiator. Since I'm not trying to fit it under the hood I figured I could find a good deal on a generic one at summit.

Love the idea of a FORD 302 in a YOTA. Thought of doing it to mine. Couple buddys said do a c***y swap, i vomitted a little when they said that. Never had a c***y and plan to keep it that way. Love the 302. Had one in my 89 Bronco. loved it.
