first truck!
recently bought my first truck 84 ext cab sr5 5sp
my boyfriend bought this truck for 800 bucks stock with bad paint and a blown out rear end. the previous owner had a detroit truetrac installed along with new ring and pinion but a seal broke leaking oil and blowing the ring and pinion, fixed that put a lift on it and painted it then i bought it from him. i bought it for 1100 which was what he had into it and love the truck
(truck now has pink stripes)

now the truck has a brake problem, the brakes are really soft but they will skid if you push them all the way down, tried bleeding them no change. the whole rear end is rebuilt new lines wheel cylinders bads ect.. when you kink the rear brake line the pedal gets pressure there are no leaks in the rear, any ideas?
my boyfriend (runs-on-4) said i have to figure this one out by myself. tried searching but im quite sure what to search for
thanks!

re: brake problem
you haven't bled them enough. when i put in my rear locker, i thought i'd bled the brakes good enough. then i hop in and the pedal is still soft (like what you describe). i took another 10 mins to bleed them, and sure enough, there was a lot more air still trapped. topped it off and drove away with no more issues thus far.
